Dental Care for Kids!

What kind of routine does your child have for brushing their teeth? At what age did they start brushing? What kind of toothpaste/ brush does your child use?

Share your tips, tricks and advice

Dental hygiene is something kid's need to learn at a young age... it's so important to protect their delicate enamel... especially since they tend to have highly acidic diets (fruits, juices, ketchup, apple sauce, etc).

I actually work with Sensodyne... they just developed (with the help of dentists) a new kid's toothpaste called, ProNamel for Children, that's proven to re-strengthen tooth enamel to help protect against acid erosion and cavities.

Has anyone tried it?

There are certain foods that are helpful in promoting the dental health as they supply all the compounds and raw materials required by the body to build healthy teeth.

In order to have healthy and strong teeth, you need to have regular intake of calcium. Dairy products, rice drinks, sardines, canned salmon, fortified cereals and dark leafy vegetables are good source of calcium. It is also important to take 1000 mg of vitamin C, regular dosage of vitamin D and fluoride.
