When a child is diagnosed with cancer it comes like a chock. It is not only the disease and its long term health related consequences which worry families; it is the finances that become a nightmare for them; the treatment of cancer requires enormous funds, either at once or over a period of time. With limited facilities for free treatment and lack of health insurance, the family has to arrange the cost of treatment planned expenditures are either postponed or forgone altogether in order to divert resources to attend to the emergency.
