Skin is the largest organ of the human body. It serves in both protective as well as aesthetic capacity. Skin cancer is actually several types of malignancies, including basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer and melanoma. The skin cancer is most common among all type of cancer. It is currently accounting for almost one-third of all diagnosed cancer. Skin cancer is cause due to exposure to ultra violet rays present in sun light. I have come across a site having URL http://www.drugdelivery.ca having great knowledge about several disease and drugs. Skin cancer is curable in its early stage however best way is to avoid exposure to sun rays as much as possible.

A harmful, malignant growth on the skin, which can have many causes, including repeated severe sunburns or long-term exposure to the sun.

The types are,

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC)
Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC)

Another thing about skin cancer I would like to mention here. Often people are of the opinion that this problem is limited to a section of people who have a certain type of skin but the truth is this problem can happen to anyone irrespective of the caste and creed. However the most vulnerable are those who have fair skin and have light colored hair with light eyes. Again those who have a lot of moles of varied shapes, genetics can also play a role, too much sun exposure, certain geographical locations which naturally inflicts the cruel sun to burn the skin. Lastly people who have received therapeutic radiation treatments for conditions like acne can also be vulnerable to the problem.
