Questions
about what these supplements do?:
Each supplement you are taking is hyperlinked with more information.
1 — General instructions for taking your supplements:
Divide your total supplement dose below into three equal doses. For example
if you are to take 6 tablets per day, take 2 at breakfast, 2 at lunch and 2 at
supper. If you miss a dose, double it the next time you take the supplements.
When taking MediHerb® products it is important to
strictly follow the recommended dose. Herbal products have a narrow
effective dosage range to exert their proper chemical effect. More is
NOT better when taking herbal products.
How much is a mL? mL is the abbreviation for milliliter, a
metric liquid measurement. Your liquid extracts are to be taken in so many
milliliters per day. 1 milliliter = 0.203 teaspoon, so if you are to take 4
milliliters of a liquid extract this would equate to almost a teaspoon of
the liquid extract per day. Liquid extracts are generally taken only one
time per day. MediHerb tablets should be split into three equal doses
Pay close attention to any "Special Notes for Your Program" below
If you experience a feeling like "I don't want to take my supplements", call
your online doctor/clinician immediately and discontinue taking all supplements
for a 24 hour period. When you are taking the correct supplements, you should
feel good about what you are taking. When you don't feel like the program is
working, in all probability something has changed and we may need to change your
program. Don't wait for weeks or even days. Report the situation to your on-line
doctor/clinician immediately.
If you feel the number of supplements that have been prescribed are too much to
take, communicate this to your on-line doctor or clinician. To get the desired
result, it is very important that you follow your exact supplement schedule.
Don't self prescribe other nutritional products while you are on this program,
unless you have already checked this with your on-line doctor. If you feel you
need additional nutritional supplementation, communicate this to your on-line
doctor.
Remember that all dosages below are in tablets/capsules per day. Except where
noted below, split the total dose of each supplement into three equal doses.

Slippery elm powder
1-2 heaped teaspoons
Obtain slippery elm powder at a high
quality health food store that routinely carries herbs; purchase
it in bulk rather than capsules if at all possible to ensure
freshness; mix the slippery elm powder with copious (240 ml)
water, to allow it to swell in the gastrointestinal tract. Note:
a high quality slippery elm powder will smell like maple or
vanilla; also look for a light brown color; a darker brown color
indicates an inferior grade.±

CALCIUM (Ca)
You don't eat enough calcium; You're going to die of bone fractures.
CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH ELEVATED TISSUE CALCIUM
bad teeeth, other bad stuff
* Joint Stiffness - If calcium accumulates in ligamentous structures surrounding
the joints, stiffness may develop. This may be noticed especially in the
mornings or after being in one position for an extended period. Stiffness may
also be aggravated by cold weather. This type of stiffness will often improve
after exercise or a warming-up movement.
* Changes in Skin and Hair Texture - Calcium accumulation in soft tissues such
as the skin will have a dehydrating effect. This can contribute to dry skin and
wrinkling. Changes in hair texture as well as brittle nails may also develop.
* Low Energy Levels - Calcium is considered a sedative mineral and when found to
be excessive in the body is usually associated with decreased metabolism and
energy levels. Other trends for a woman of this age with this calcium profile
may include fatigue, depression, anemia, muscle cramps, insomnia, premature
aging of the skin, osteoporosis (Type II), kidney and gallstones.
SOME FACTORS THAT MAY CONTRIBUTE TO HIGH CALCIUM LEVELS
There are a number of factors that are related to improper calcium utilization
and which may lead to elevated tissue levels, even if dietary calcium intake is
low.
* Endocrine - Low thyroid and adrenal activity in conjunction with a relative
increase in parathyroid function can contribute to an excessive deposition of
tissue calcium.
* Nutritional - Inadequate protein intake, excessive sugar and refined
carbohydrate intake, high vitamin D intake, and increased requirements of other
vitamins and minerals, such as; vitamin E and phosphorus.
HYPOGLYCEMIA PROFILE
According to this laboratory's research, slow metabolizers are prone to
hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). This condition has become relatively common in
modern society due to a number of factors, one of which is an improper diet.
Hypoglycemia can be contributed to by dietary factors other than the commonly
known factors of eating excess refined carbohydrates and sugars. Dairy products,
fruit juices and foods high in fat content may also produce hypoglycemic
symptoms. For this reason, observance of the dietary recommendations is of
special importance for individuals at risk of hypoglycemic episodes.
The most common symptoms associated with hypoglycemia include, headaches, mood
swings, lethargy, loss of concentration, and mid-afternoon loss of energy.
HYDROCHLORIC ACID PRODUCTION AND PROTEIN DIGESTION
Your mineral profile may be reflective of a deficiency in hydrochloric acid (HCL)
production, which can result in inadequate protein digestion. Hydrochloric acid
in sufficient amounts is necessary for the complete digestion and utilization of
dietary protein. Symptoms, such as, bloating of the stomach, flatulence and
constipation may be observed with an HCL deficiency, especially following high
protein meals.
