Oleic Acid

What is it?

A MONOUNSATURATED FATTY ACID present in canola, corn and, most of all, olive oil. High concentrations of it can lower blood levels of CHOLESTEROL. Oleic acid is also used by food processors to make synthetic butters and cheeses, and to flavor baked goods, candies, ice creams and soft drinks. GENERALLY RECOGNIZED AS SAFE.
