Nutritional Support for the Endocrine System

Hormones play a significant role in keeping the body healthy and functioning properly. They share an intimate relationship with many nutrients, and working together, help support physiiological balance. Women's hormonal needs fluctuate in response to the changing seasons of their lives and the physical and emotional demands that accompany life's changes.

The following products made from whole foods and herbs are formulated to help maintain men's and women's health and balance during life. Click on the image or the supplement name for additional information:

Symplex ® F
The protomorphogen™ extracts found in Symplex F support the healthy functioning of the adrenal, thyroid, and pituitary glands, and reproductive organs. These glands support the body's hormonal system, cardiovascular and muscle function, central nervous system response to stress, energy production..*
Symplex ® M
Symplex M supports the male endocrine system. Glandular products have been used effectively by health care professionals for well over 100 years. The glandular system in the body provides different substances used in processes performed throughout the body and influences all major organ systems. The glandular system depends upon balance. When one gland in the system malfunctions, a ripple effect can occur causing any number of dependent organs or glands to operate less efficiently.*
Cataplex ® E
Cataplex E combines the complete vitamin E complex with selenium to provide powerful antioxidant protection. The combination of Vitamin E with selenium boosts anitoxidant activity to help keep the heart and cardiovascular system healthy. Cataplex E helps support the reproductive, nervous, hemitopoietic, cardiovascular, muscular, endocrine, skin, immune and renal systems. *
Pituitrophin PMG ®
Pituitrophin PMG helps support the healthy functioning of the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is often referred to as the "mater gland of the body". It is an endocrine gland, storing and secreting a number of hormones that support many bodily processes including various metabolic activities involving function of the adrenal and thyroid glands; and stimulating the production of gonadotrophic hormones in both males and females.*.
Trace Minerals-B12 ®
Trace Minerals-B12 contains kelp, buckwheat extract, and a variety of trace minerals as well as vitamins A, C, and some of the vitamin B complexes. Two important minerals essential to life, potassium and iodine, as well as iron, phosphorus, manganese, magnesium, calcium, copper, zinc, and many other trace minerals are found in kelp. Buckwheat extract from the green buckwehat plant provides the vitamin P complex; a source of rutin and other bioflavonoids. Rutin enhances absorption of the vitamin C complex, promotes healthy circulation, supports bile production, and helps maintain healthy capillaries. The trace minerals contained are important to the endocrine glands; iodine for the thyroid, manganese for the pituitary, and zinc for reproductive system health.*
Black Currant Seed Oil
Black Currant Seed Oil is the cold processed concentrate of the oil of the black currant seed. It is used because of its unique content of gamma linolenic acid (GLA). This is a superior source of GLA compared to the commonly used Evening Primrose Oil. GLA is the converted form of linolenic acid that a healthy liver would produce. In cases like eczema or severe skin dryness, the body is not converting essential fatty acids into the form that the sebaceous glands under the skin use, which is GLA. GLA is also a prostaglandin precursor for several potent body chemicals known as prostaglandins including the PGE1, which plays an important role in multiple physiological functions. If a person cannot utilize the essential fatty acids naturally found in LINUM B6 or CATAPLEX F PERLES, use BLACK CURRANT SEED OIL. Seeds from the black currant, or Ribes Nigrum, contain large amounts of essential fatty acids. Nineteen percent of black currant seed oil is made up of gamma linolenic acid (GLA), making it one of the best known and most popular sources for this type of fatty acid. *

Cataplex F Perles®
Flaxseed oil is the primary health-giving constituent of the flax plant, L. usitatissimum, which has been cultivated since at least 5,000 BC. Its health-giving properties were known to the Greeks, and Hippocrates recommended it for inflammation of the mucous membranes. In recent times, people have turned to plant sources for omega-3 oils, as ocean pollution has affected fish as a source. This is made from flax seed oil and a few other things (LINUM B6 is our primary Omega 3 fatty acid flax seed oil product). It has some beef lipids. It is really an extract of vitamin F, put into a football-shaped perle. In most cases, the dry CATAPLEX F tablet is better to use than the perle. The perle contains no iodine. That's a good point to remember. Cataplex F Tablets tends to raise the blood iodine level-it contains some protein-bound iodine. *
Chaste Tree
Chaste Tree has been used traditionally in Europe by women for a variety of common female conditions. Clinical trials support its efficacy in addressing temporary headaches associated with the onset of menses. The unique activity of Chaste Tree in supporting female hormone balance makes it an excellent choice before and during the menses.*
