A-F Betafood ®
by Dr. Gary Farr 12/30/2003
A-F Betafood contains beet juice which is a good source of betaine. Betaine has been shown to be an effective lipotrophic agent. Lipotrophic agents promote the transportation and use of fats, helping to prevent the accumulation of fat in the liver. Vitamin A has an important and specific effect on lipid metabolism. Vitamin F complex has been shown to be important in the metabolism of blood fats.

Cal-Amo ®
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/11/2002
The acid-alkaline balance is very important in maintaining proper body function, Alkalosis is involved in conditions of asthma, allergy, arthritis, bursitis, etc. If the fluid of the body is too alkaline, calcium precipitates out of solution and forms deposits in various places throughout the body. We discussed this earlier in talking about the importance of a proper calcium-phosphorous balance. So calcium forms deposits if the pH is too high, as well as in a deficiency of phosphorous.
Think of Cal-Amo as our primary acidifying product.
Calcium Lactate
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/11/2002
Calcium and magnesium are minerals of critical importance to human nutrition and should be combined in a five to one ratio of calcium to magnesium. Among their primary nutritional functions are bone mineralization -- calcium comprises about 98% of the mineral component of bone and tooth structure. Calcium is also essential for various other body functions, including blood coagulation, muscle contraction, nerve conduction, maintenance and function of cell membranes and membrane permeability, and the proper functioning of many enzymes.
Calcium Lactate Powder
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/14/2002
Calcium forms an important blood buffer (as ionized calcium bicarbonate), and is a necessary constituent of tissue fluids helping to maintain proper nerve impulse transmission, muscle contraction, membrane permeability, and white blood cell function. Calcium lactate is an extremely soluble calcium salt, making it highly bioavailable and an excellent calcium source for nutritional therapies. The calcium lactate contained in this product comes from a pure vegetable, non-dairy source.
Calsol ®
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/14/2002

Chlorophyll Complex
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/15/2002
Chlorophyll is the essence of the life-supporting nutritional pattern of our planet Earth. From oxygen production to carbon dioxide consumption, green plants (chlorophyll) provide the life support pattern from the oceans to the forests to the grasslands. Cooking green foods destroys the chlorophyll content. 99.9 percent of the chlorophyll supplements sold are water-soluble, thus void of any nutrition. Fat soluble chlorophyll contains vitamins A, E, F, and K.
Chlorophyll Complex Ointment
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/15/2002
If you've ever had a "bad" sunburn you'll really appreciate this product as it removes the burning very quickly. Chlorophyll Ointment is a better product than U.S.F. Ointment for treating burns, but it is so messy that unless the burn is really severe, U.S.F. Ointment would be the product of choice. It is a very healing ointment for cuts, scratches and burns.
Collinsonia Root
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/15/2002
Collinsonia Root is an herb (also called Stone Root). It is referred to in herb books as a "vascular astringent." Inositol
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/24/2002
Inositol is one of the Vitamin B complex factors. It is lipotropic in its effect, and is closely related to choline. Inositol is closely tied in with diabetes. A diabetic not only has poor sugar metabolism, but poor fat metabolism as well. So cholesterol starts to accumulate in his system. This is why diabetics often develop gangrene. Their extremities become congested with cholesterol and this impairs their circulation. So inositol is a lipotropic factor (having the ability to break down fats) which the diabetic is deficient in. Use this guideline to differentiate between Inositol and Choline: give Inositol to assist with fat metabolism in cases of diabetes and in patients that crave sugar; otherwise use Choline.*
Inositol Powder
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/24/2002
Inositol, found in the membranes surrounding each cell, plays a key role in the body’s complex internal communication system. It is required to transfer the body’s chemical orders from the blood stream to the inside of the cell where they can be filled. Neurotransmitters and hormones travel through the blood and dock on the outside of cell membranes, stimulating the release of an inositol compound. Inositol migrates inside the cell to trigger a multitude of specific functions, which include secretion of digestive juices and histamine, muscle contraction, glucose production, and clotting assistance.*
Lact-Enz ®
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/24/2002
Lact-Enz combines bowel flora and pancreatic enzymes, useful in candida (yeast) overgrowth, the intestinal consequences of antibiotic therapy, and problems resulting from sensitivity to dairy products or from a diet that relies on dairy products.
Linum B6
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/25/2002
Linum B-6 is vitamin F in the form of fresh flaxseed oil with just enough B-6 added to assist in the utilization of the F. Flaxseed oil is especially high in linolenic acid. We put it in capsules instead of in bulk because it goes rancid so easily. This is the most fragile of all oils, and sesame is probably the most stable. This is why sesame oil is often used in administering injectible materials. The sesame oil insures a slow release of the injectible material into the body.
Magnesium Lactate
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/25/2002
Magnesium and calcium play fundamental roles in enzyme reactions and cellular activities. They are essential players of metabolic, muscular, and skeletal functions throughout the human body. In fact, our bodies contain more calcium than any other mineral, and magnesium places second as the most abundant positively charged ion in the human body.
Min-Tran ®
by Dr. Gary Farr 2/25/2002
Min-Tran is short for "mineral tranquilizer." It's the mildest of the three tranquilizing products, excellent for the person who is nervous and cannot relax. It's also effective for helping people with muscle spasms and cramps. Min-Tran contains about one-third the amount of potassium that's in Organic Minerals. It's the kelp in the Min-Tran that supplies the potassium. Basically speaking, Min-Tran is the alkaline ash minerals plus calcium. So if a person needs both calcium and the alkaline ash minerals, give Min-Tran, if he needs only calcium, as in the case of a person with a cold or infection, suggest the use of Calcium Lactate.

Wheat Germ Oil Perles Fortified
by Dr. Gary Farr 3/11/2002
Wheat germ oil comes from the heart of the wheat berry, the embryo of the new plant. This oil is unique among dietary supplements and foods in that it is unusually rich (65% by weight) in the most biologically active form of vitamin E. Vitamin E acts as an inhibitor of oxidation processes in body tissues. It protects unsaturated fats in the body from oxidation by peroxides and other free radicals. In fact, the tocopherols are used commercially as anti-oxidants to retard the spoiling of fats, especially
other vegetable oils.*
