Chicken breasts can be roasted, grilled, braised or fried. To purchase, check by "sell date" on package. If refrigerated, poultry will stay fresh for a few days after that date. Plan to use it within a day of two after purchase. If packaged in refrigerator trays, poultry can be refrigerated in original wrapping.
To roast, dredge breasts in flour. Cook in a preheated 350°F oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 170°F.
Grill or broil breasts for 10 to 15 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 170°F.
Tip: Marinate chicken breasts in bottled Italian dressing before cooking for an easy and flavorful main course. |
