Nutritional Support for the Bones

Nutritional Support for the Bones

Our bodies need calcium for a variety of functions, including cellular-energy production and serve and heart functions. Most of the bodies calcium supply is stored in the bones, where it also provides strength and rigidity to the skeleton. If there is not enough calcium circulating in the blood -o supply the bodies cellular needs, the body will pull calcium out of its "reserves" in the bone. If calcium intake is chronically low, the bones will eventually become porous, weak, and prone to fracture.

More than 99% of calcium in a human body is in the bone. It is well known that the most important job for calcium to support and keep the bone strong. The second and very crucial job for calcium is in the role of messenger for signal transduction of all the cells in the brain, heart, kidney and others, although this may be less well known. In order to accomplish the messenger role, calcium must keep its path clean, by keeping its concentration in blood constant. When calcium intake is deficient, parathyroid hormone is secreted to take calcium out of the bone, a great calcium reservoir, to bring back the blood calcium concentration to normal. Osteoporosis thus develops because of a sustained loss of calcium from bone. At menopause, estrogen which had been protecting bone by keeping good intestinal calcium absorption and preventing calcium loss in urine suddenly disappears to give rise to osteoporosis. Stress and corticosteroid excess also prompts calcium loss and osteoporosis. Calcium deficiency also causes other life style diseases including hypertension, arteriosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, Alzheimer's disease and colorectal cancer, because of the action of parathyroid hormone to increase intracellular calcium interfering with the signal transduction of the cell. Readily absorbable calcium such as AAA calcium is effective not only on osteoporosis, but also on many other lifestyle diseases.

Ligaplex® I
Ligaplex® I contains manganese, phosphorous, peavine juice, veal bone, and vitamin complexes A, C, E and B12. The body requires these nutrients to manufacture mucopolysaccharides, collagen fibers, and elastin, which serve as the foundation of both ligaments and tendons. Mucopolysaccharide is an important element in the structural matrix of bone and cartilage.*

Calcium Lactate
Calcium and magnesium are minerals of critical importance to human nutrition and should be combined in a five to one ratio of calcium to magnesium. Among their primary nutritional functions are bone mineralization -- calcium comprises about 98% of the mineral component of bone and tooth structure. Calcium is also essential for various other body functions, including blood coagulation, muscle contraction, nerve conduction, maintenance and function of cell membranes and membrane permeability, and the proper functioning of many enzymes.*

Chezyn®
Chezyn® is a chelated zinc product and also contains iron and copper. Zinc enjoys a positive reputation as an essential mineral for healthy connective tissue. Zinc is required for protein synthesis and appropriate cell growth. Research suggests that proper zinc supplementation has often been found to maintain joint health during and after exercise.*

Biost ®
Biost® tablets supply veal bone PMG™ extract and manganese. Bone serves a myriad of functions beyond providing shape and support for the body. Veal bone PMG™ extract supports healthy connective tissue. Manganese is necessary for bone growth, development, and replacement. It is also involved with the health and maintenance of ligaments and tendons. Manganese is an important cofactor of the major enzymes concerned with the formation of mucopolysaccharides and the process of protein metabolism.*

Cal-Ma Plus ®
This is the combination of Calcium Lactate and parathyroid desiccate to enhance the absorption of calcium. Remember that the parathyroid gland is designed exclusively for calcium utilization; no other gland is dedicated to one mineral. *

Calcifood® Powder
While most people are aware of the need for calcium in building and maintaining strong bones and teeth, many remain unaware of the important role calcium plays in nerve transmission, muscle contraction, blood coagulation, cardiac function, and cellular structure.

Unfortunately, a great percentage of the population fails to acquire adequate amounts of calcium from their diet – whether from choosing foods with little or low calcium content, from combining foods that compromise absorption, or from health conditions that prevent proper absorption. In addition, there are times in our lives when we need even more calcium than at other times.

Female athletes and older women for example, require greater amounts of calcium than other women do. Getting enough calcium into the body is only half the battle. The more soluble the calcium, the better it is absorbed. And optimal calcium metabolism also relies on vitamin D, calcitonin, and parathyroid hormone. Calcifood Powder provides a rich, whole food source of calcium along with its complementary and synergistic nutrients formulated to enhance calcium metabolism and absorption, naturally.*

Ligaplex® II
With long-term ordinary wear and tear, joints, inter-vertebral discs, and ligaments begin to show signs of aging. Ligaplex II is comprised of manganese, carbamide, and veal bone PMG™ extract to support the proper functioning of connective tissue. The bovine heart PMG™ extract containing Coenzyme Q10 along with defatted wheat germ -- a rich source of the complete vitamin E complex; are important nutrients for the support of healthy connective tissue. Carbamide aids in the osmotic transfer of body fluids.*

Manganese B12
Manganese is an important cofactor in the enzymes necessary for muco-polysaccharide synthesis. Mucopolysaccharide is an important component in both the skeletal and cartilaginous structural matrix. Because of its role in muco-polysaccharide synthesis, manganese is important to skeletal and connective tissue development. The vitamin B12 complex also works to support healthy epithelial tissue.*
