The Symptom Survey Analysis / Symptom Survey Analysis - Sample Report
Page: 1

|
This is an actual patient report of the Symptom Survey Analysis. A 28 year old male presented to my office with multiple complaints including sugar cravings, fatigue, irritability and acid reflux. These were present since he was 18 years old and you can image how these complaints affected his life. After 4 weeks of supplementation, he no longer complained of fatigue and irritability and no longer had to be embarrassed in public with belching.
Notice on the graph the malfunction of several major organ systems. While one could guess exactly where the headaches were coming from, the Symptom Survey pointed us to the precise areas where the problems existed.
The scores that you give when you give answers are weighted, that is those symptoms that show up over and over again have more significance in how the program figures out which supplements are going to be more beneficial at that time.
|
Date of Test: June 30, 2004 Dear Richard, Thank you for taking the Symptom Survey Analysis. The Symptom Survey Analysis provides a way to assess your individual supplement needs and possible health issues. The evaluation is based solely on inputs provided by each individual. This evaluation uses software that is an extension of earlier work done at Cornell School of Medicine using questionnaires to diagnose health conditions. Using information from classic texts on human physiology (function of the body), a correlation was made between symptoms, or groups of symptoms, and weaknesses in various organs, body systems or tissues. The evaluation is designed to screen for areas of the body that are in need of extra nutritional support.
Below is a graph of your CUSTOM test results and following this graph are your recommendations for nutritional products. |
You have indicated you have the following health concerns: Concern 1: Sugar Cravings Concern 2: Fatigue Concern 3: Irritability Concern 4: Acid refulx
|
| Now, let's discuss your results. Please refer to the graph below. The Symptom Survey analyzes each of your organ systems and how they are functioning based on the answers you provided. A normal reading falls within the three lines in the middle of the graph. A score above these lines in the RED ZONE indicates a HYPER or EXCESSIVE function of this organ system. A score below these lines or in the BLUE ZONE indicates a HYPO or LOW function of the organ system. The higher or lower your point is on the graph, the more immediate attention should be given to the body system. When the body functions normally, it can be free of disease and disease processes. | |
|
| You took the full Symptom Survey Analysis which analyzes each system of the body. Please note that your recommendations are based on addressing the WORST syndromes FIRST. By doing so, other areas that you are having problems with may also resolve: |
|
Group 1 - Sympathetic Nervous System Dominance The sympathetic division of the nervous system is the "accelerator" portion of the body, or it makes it the body function faster. The parasympathetic nervous system functions like the brakes for the body. Normally the body balances the sympathetic division of the nervous system with the parasympathetic division. The parasympathetic division could be thought of as the "brakes" for the body. Now, when these are in balance there's no problem, but if you have one working and the other not working, you are in trouble. If your brakes work but your accelerator doesn't you don't go anywhere. If you accelerator works but your bakes don't you can't stop. When the sympathetic nervous system is overactive the following symptoms can develop: stomach upset and irritation, frequent cold sweats, stomach inflammation, a feeling like the body is always "racing", diarrhea, excessive sweating, loose stools, a racing heart, irregular heartbeat, and incomplete digestion resulting in gas.
Group 2 - Parasympathetic Nervous System Dominance The parasympathetic nervous system functions like the brakes for the body. When it is overactive you may feel very sluggish, and the digestive tract may malfunction due to a lack of hydrochloric acid. With a lack of hydrochloric acid your body will not adequately digest food and you may suffer from food allergies /sensitivities. It is important that this be corrected as the inability to digest your food can result in almost any health problem.
Group 3 - Sugar Handling Sugar handling problems are commonly called hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), or hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Low or high blood sugar results in symptoms such as mood swings, craving of sugar, tiredness after eating, headaches and irritability. Low and high blood sugar symptoms can be controlled with proper nutritional supplementation and diet. A specific diet can be recommended for you. It is important this be corrected as your inability to maintain proper blood sugar levels can lead to other disease processes including depression, difficulty sleeping, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
Group 4 - Cardiovascular Most every person is familiar with this system. It consists of the heart and blood vessels. Cardiovascular disease is the biggest killer of the public today. It is important that your cardiovascular system is addressed as this can lead to other disease processes such as high blood pressure, stroke, hardening of the arteries, etc.
Group 5 - Gallbladder/Liver The liver performs 250 chemical reactions every second and because of this, there are literally hundreds of symptoms that can result when these two organs don't function properly. Some of these are bad breathe, craving of sweets, skin problems, fatigue, digestive upsets, constipation or diarrhea, and headaches. It is important that these two organs be repaired because left untreated, could lead to many other disease processes. We find the liver and gallbladder to be involved in the majority of health problems.
Group 6 - Digestion The digestive system is second in importance in all of the body systems. Without proper digestive function, symptoms such as heart burn, indigestion, gas and abdominal pain are common. If your food is not digested properly, it can literally rot in the intestines causing other problems. This can cause you to become nutritionally deficient even if you are eating the proper food. This system, if malfunctioning, must be addressed if you expect to improve your state of health.
Group 7 - Endocrine The endocrine system consists of the pancreas, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenals, pineal, pituitary and testes/ovaries. It carries out a wide variety of processes through chemical messengers called "hormones." This system is a collection of glands that produces these hormones, which are necessary for normal bodily functions. Each division of the endocrine system is analyzed below.
Group 7A - Hyperthyroid Excessive function of the thyroid gland is known as hyperthyroidism. Symptoms of this syndrome include excessive sweating, bulging eyes, fast heart rate, trouble sleeping, nervousness, heart palpitations and irritability. Having such symptoms can adversely affect your life. Being irritable and keyed up all the time can interfere with interpersonal relationships, even to the point that you feel you withdraw from communicating with others. The thyroid is an important organ to help control many basic functions in the body.
Group 7B - Hypothyroid Low or under functioning of the thyroid gland is known as hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism can exist even when blood tests are normal. In fact, it is one of the most misdiagnosed conditions today. With a low functioning thyroid you may experience an increase in weight, loss of appetite, fatigue even when sleep is adequate, skin problems, constipation, headaches that are present in the morning and wear off during the day, mental dullness, hair falling out, increase frequency of urination and trouble getting started on a project.
Group 7C - Hyperpituitary When the pituitary gland under-functions, you may experience abnormal thirst, weight gain, reduced sex drive, a tendency to develop ulcers or colitis, and menstrual problems. The pituitary gland is known as the "master" gland of the body because it controls all the other endocrine organs. It is for this reason it is important you address the function of your pituitary gland.
Group 7D - Hypopituitary When the pituitary gland under-functions, you may experience abnormal thirst, weight gain, reduced sex drive, a tendency to develop ulcers or colitis, and menstrual problems. The pituitary gland is known as the "master" gland of the body because it controls all the other endocrine organs. It is for this reason it is important you address the function of your pituitary gland.
Group 7E - Hyperadrenal The adrenal glands have the following functions: Speeding up the rate of metabolism of cells as much as 100%, increasing blood pressure, dilating the blood vessels to the heart and skeleton while constricting most other vessels, increasing blood flow to the muscles while decreasing blood flow to organs not in use at the time, causing the liver to release glucose and thus increasing blood glucose levels, decreasing kidney function and increasing urine output, dilating pupils, increasing muscle strength and mental activity (partially due to increased glucose levels), dilation of bronchials (this is why epinephrine injections are given during asthmatic attacks), and breaking down glucose in the muscles. When the adrenal glands are over-functioning, dizziness, chronic fatigue, high blood pressure, hair growth on the face, and masculine tendencies in the female can exist. The adrenal glands can over function as a result of prolonged chemical or emotional stress. If not corrected, further complications and more serious disease processes can result. It is vital that you address the function of your adrenal glands.
Group 7F - Hypoadrenal Low functioning adrenal glands can result in a multitude of symptoms; some of these are weakness, dizziness, chronic fatigue, puffiness of the face, excessive perspiration, poor circulation, allergies, dark circles under the eyes, frequent colds or illnesses, and many others. With today’s poor diets and excessive stress levels, many people's adrenal glands are 'burned out'. And, these people often feel 'burned out'. Many patients say they're on their 'last string.' This is an extremely common problem in society today and if not handled can result in arthritic conditions, poor healing, bowel disorders, allergies, asthma, exhaustion, chronic fatigue syndrome, PMS, and many others.
Female Only The female glandular system gives color and beauty. Female related health problems are extremely common and include PMS, endometriosis, excessive vaginal bleeding, yeast infections, skin problems, depression, fatigue and painful breasts. The female glandular system is unique and as such, we address it a unique way with products that rehabilitate the woman's glandular system to return to normal function. Your system can be helped with proper nutritional supplementation.
Male Only Male related health problems are often more advanced than our female counterparts because men typically do not take care of their body as well as women. Symptoms can include prostate problems, difficult or dribbling of urine, depression, pain in the legs or heels, feeling of incomplete bowel evacuation, fatigue, inactivity of daily activities, leg "nervousness" and a diminished sex drive.

Based on your answers, the following nutritional recommendations should be followed:
|
| 1. A-F Betafood® |
A-F Betafood ® is for gallbladder problems. It is used as a gallbladder and liver decongestant. It helps in the processing of fats and it thins and helps bile move through the digestive tract. Bile has several functions in the body. First it helps break down the fats in our food. Secondly, bile helps eliminate toxins from the body. Use for gallbladder symptoms such as gas, indigestion, belching, bloating and constipation. Helps reduce elevated cholesterol and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).* |
9 Tablets |
| 2. Cataplex® B |
Cataplex® B contains different components of the B complex that are stimulatory to the metabolic, cardiovascular, and central and peripheral nervous systems. Use for nerve conductivity disturbance, arrythmia (abnormal electrical impulses of the heart), skipped heart beat, hypotension (low blood pressure), poor muscle tone, carpal tunnel syndrome, muscle twitches.* |
6 Tablets |
| 3. Drenamin® |
Drenamin is a combination of Drenatrophin PMG, Cataplex® C, and Cataplex® G in equal proportions. Drenatrophin is the nucleoprotein extracted from fresh frozen adrenal glands. So Drenamin supports the adrenal glands. The Cataplex G helps improve circulation, the Drenatrophin rebuilds the glands, and the C contains tyrosinase, which is organic copper, an adrenal activator. Drenamin is a very complete from of adrenal support. If you have normal or low blood pressure, you should take Drenatrophin rather than Drenamin, as the Vitamin G found in Drenamin can lower your blood pressure further. You should take Drenamin and Cataplex® C if your blood pressure runs on the low side. You can make this change when you purchase your supplements.* |

| 4. Protefood® |
Protefood® is a product for helping people with their protein metabolism. Protefood contains the essential amino acids. There are some 22 in all, and eight of these are called "essential," although some authorities feel there are ten essential amino acids. It's these essential amino acids which are most likely to be deficient in the diet, as they are so quickly destroyed by heat -- "heat labile" they're called. A person might eat plenty of protein foods, but if he's not getting the essential; amino acids -- maybe his meat is overcooked -- then the amino acids that are viable won't be utilized in the tissues. The main symptom indicating a need for Protefood is fatigue. Use for: source of essential amino acids, hypoglycemia, debilitating problems, chronic fatigue, low protein diets, edema, muscular weakness, weight loss, helpfull to build muscle mass.* |
3 Capsules |
| 5. Symplex® M |
SYMPLEX® M supports the glandular system and provides different substances used in processes performed throughout the body and influences all major organ systems. The glandular system depends upon balance. When one gland in the system malfunctions, a ripple effect can occur causing any number of dependent organs or glands to operate less efficiently. Such symptoms as prostate problems, difficult urination or dribbling, getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, depression, fatigue, and a lowered sex drive can have as their root one or more glands that are either functioning too much (hyper) or functioning too little (hypo). * |
6 Tablets |
| 6. Circuplex® |
Circuplex® is used to improve circulation. It is a special combination product that supports the healthy function of the circulatory and parasympathetic nervous systems.* |
6 Capsules |
| 7. Cholacol® |
Cholacol ® contains concentrated bile salts and Collinsonia Root to aid in dietary fat metabolism and absorption. It is used in fat intolerance, alcholic stool, constipation, difficulty in assimilating fat- soluble vitamins, after gall bladder surgery, rcessive appetite, and "hot gallbladder" syndrome. Bile salts contained in bile help to emulsify fats much like soap detergent breaks down fats when you wash your dishes.*
Useage & Caution: Cholacol is best taken before a meal; since Cholacol encourages gallbladder contractions to release bile to aid in the breakdown of fats, people who have gallstones should not take Cholacol or A-F Betafood ®. In the presence of gallstones, Betafood ®, Choline, and Disodium Phosphate are the supplements of choice to promote healthy gallbladder function.*
Suggested use: Begin with 1 table per meal and increase daly to a maximum of 3 tables per meal, and then return to 1 tablet per meal. This cyclic procedure will help to prevent the gallbladder depending on the continual administration of bile salts.* |
