About the Author
Bruce Wiseman is the U.S. national president of the Citizens Commission on Human Rights and former chairman of the Department of History at the John F. Kennedy University. He has been a human rights advocate and outspoken critic of damaging psychiatric abuses for more than two decades. He has worked with local, state and federal investigative, legislative and judicial bodies ridding the field of mental health from its abuses. Mr Wiseman testified before the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee to abolish the involuntary commitment of children. Mr Wiseman has made more than six hundred radio and television appearances covering such issues as psychiatric sexual abuse, elctroshock and damaging psychiatric drugs. As an internationally renowned speaker and lecturer, Mr Wiseman holds a master's degree cum laude from California State University at San Jose. He lives with his wife and family in Los Angeles.

Most important book to read on psychiatry today, March 15, 2000 Reviewer: roslyn halperin from Phoenix, Arizona I worry about kids being drugged in schools today and I hope the message in this book gets to more and more people. There's so many illegal drugs out there to worry about already. This book is shocking and important. Thank you

Chilling and awakening., June 22, 1999 Reviewer: ontoot@aol.com (see more about me) from Glendale, California This excellently researched and lucidly written dissection of the development and activities of the Psychiatric establishment was immediately a favorite. If Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward met Stephen King and pursued the trail of madness and subsidized chaos they could not have surpassed Mr. Wiseman's straightforward and gripping exposition of the development of influence and and power by the Psyciatric elite. Here he lays out clearly the methods in creating madness, subsidy and more madness. I cannot recommend this highly enough as an enjoyable and enlightening addition to the aware and concerned person's library.

Reviewer: felixdcat@rocketmail.com from USA Reading this book made me feel good, like I had just taken a two week vacation in Hawaii. Why is that? You'll have to read it and find out for yourself. Psychiatry is a non-scientific profession that offers no real lasting solutions for problems people or society experience. There is a real reason for the demise of it's so-called popularity, yet government's still continue to use it to punish the population. The book explores how psychiatry grafted itself onto government support, and how it continues to be well connected to media and government sponsorship and how it has intruded into the educational system and legal system. Anything invaded by psychiatric ideas [mental virus] seems to get worse and have more problems then ever. You'll read some things that I'll bet you didn't know had originated from psychiatry! Life doesn't have to be filled with fear, pain and unhappiness, that is, unless you're a psychiatrist harming people while pretending to 'help' them with unworkable technology . This book is one of the most excellent written and researched studies of psychiatry. It should be required reading for all students, not just those studying to become doctors! Oh yes, it should be required reading for every newly married couple. If you want to increase your chances of a successful marriage and have fewer problems with your children, read this book!
